Today I Thank God

Picture
Today I thank God for my eyes,
Whose sight is at each dawn renewed,
Who lift their gaze toward the skies
To well with tears of gratitude.
Picture
Today I thank God for my ears,
That hear the songs of birds and wind,
And cause my heart such joy to hear
The Good News preached to all who’ve sinned.
Picture
Today I thank God for my nose,
To smell the sweetness on the breeze,
The incense sent by prayers of those
Who seek their Father on their knees.
Picture
Today I thank God for my tongue,
That tastes His goodness, tells it too.
Oh, never sweeter song is sung
Than when ‘tis sung in praise of You!
Picture
Today I thank God for my hands,
That learn His service day by day,
That gives me means to understand
The heart of Christ who loves always.
Picture
Today I thank God for my feet,
That bear good news to those who wait
In fear to hear the tidings sweet
That He forgives: It’s not too late!

Picture
Today I thank God for my life.
How ever can my words portray
The beauties hid amidst the strife,
The joy of knowing Him each day?

Picture
Today I thank God for Himself:
Who bore the weight of sin and nail
To heal my soul and make it well:
Who will not ever change or fail.

Actually, what we should do is to always be thankful for everything that we receive. Regardless if the blessing is big or not, what we should do is to always be grateful all the time. God can hear all desires that come from our heart. I am hoping that all people would learn the said thing and try to live with it for the rest of their lives. By the way, every word that you said from this post was truly heartfelt. I felt that you were really grateful on things that are happening with your lives right now! That’s really good to know!
